The Perfect Lie is one of the best indoor activities in Emerald Isle, offering golf simulators, interactive games, drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere for groups, couples, and families.

How many bays are there?
Two premium indoor golf simulator bays. But choose wisely, there are differences between the front and back bays.
How many people can play at once?
Each bay can accommodate up to 4 players at a time, but we have had as many as 6 in one bay. You’re welcome to rotate players or just hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are recommended, especially during evenings and weekends. Walk-ins are welcome if bays are available.
How many hours should I reserve?
It depends on your group size and how much you want to play, but here’s a good rule of thumb:
- 1–2 players: 1 hour is usually enough for a quick round or practice
- 3–4 players: 1.5 to 2 hours is recommended to enjoy a full experience
Most groups booking for the first time go with 2 hours so they can relax, play multiple holes, and not feel rushed.
If you’re unsure, start with an hour — you can always extend your time if availability allows.
Can I host a group or event?
Absolutely. We’re a great spot for small group outings, parties, and casual events. Contact us for more details.
Can we bring our own clubs?
Guests are encouraged to bring their own golf clubs for the most realistic experience. If that’s not an option, we’ll have standard right- and left-handed sets available to use free of charge.
How long does a round take?
It depends on the number of players and pace of play, but most groups can play 9 holes in about an hour.
What else is there to do besides golf?
We offer simulator-based games and challenges, plus board games, card games, and a relaxed environment to hang out, have drinks, and enjoy your time. Heck, there might even be a puzzle started that you can finish.
What should I wear?
Clothes, silly! Preferably, a Perfect Lie Golf Bar T-Shirt. Available for only $20! No golf spikes!
Are kids allowed?
Heck yeah! Don’t let the “bar” theme scare you. We simply ask that the younger players have an adult supervising them. We have a good selection of non-alcoholic beverages. Pepsi’s, Gatorade, Starbucks, and Alani’s. Oh, and some of the best cookies you can eat from a local pastry chef!
Are pets allowed?
Absolutely! Just know that golf swings and loud reactions might not be their favorite spectator sport.
Do I need to be good at golf to play?
Not at all. Whether you’ve never picked up a club or you play every weekend, our simulators are designed for all skill levels. We also offer games and challenges that are perfect for beginners and groups just looking to have fun. Come in and try our Carnival Games!
How much does it cost?
We charge by the hour per bay, not per person.
- Weekday rates: $45/hour
- Weekend & peak rates: $60/hour
Split between friends, it’s one of the best deals around.
Do you serve alcohol?
Yes. We offer a fine selection of beer, wine, THC beverages, and non-alcoholic options.
Do I need to bring my clubs?

What is the “Wall of Shame”?
It’s exactly what it sounds like.
We’ve turned some… questionable golf shots into a fun in-house contest featuring damaged ceiling tiles. Guests can vote for their favorite by dropping pocket change into jars — with all proceeds going to Adam’s Closet, a charity of the Swansboro Rotary Club.
Do you serve food?
We don’t. We do have an impressive array of snacks, including charcuterie boxes from Coastal Grazes, incredible baked goods from Jiggle Bellies Bakery, and a mini snack bar.
Or, feel free to have something delivered from any of the local restaurants.
This isn’t a driving range. This is golf your way.
